Ms. Alpana S Khale is a Cost & Works Accountant with over 25 years of experience in finance companies and large conglomerates like L&T. She was a rank holder in Cost & Works Accountant, achieving 18th All India rank and 1st among women candidates. She has an M. Com degree, and she also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Sydenham Institute of Management, majoring in Finance.
She completed the professional examination of Company Secretary (AICS) in June 2013 and received Associate Membership in June 2015. Her career progression includes roles at Harvest Financials Ltd. from July 1994 to December 1995, Milton Finance Ltd. from January 1996 to December 1997, and Voltas Switchgear Ltd. from January 1998 to April 1998. She joined Larsen & Toubro in May 1998 in Group II Projects, which was eventually known as E&C Division and later renamed to Hydrocarbon.
Subsequently, she was transferred to L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Ltd. following the transfer of the hydrocarbon business from L&T. She was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of L&T Sapura Shipping Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of the Hydrocarbon group, from September 2014 to May 2016. Effective August 19th, 2015, she was appointed as Company Secretary of L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Ltd.. In June 2017, she was transferred to the L&T Corporate Group Reporting Cell, where she handled FP&A for the entire L&T Group. Currently, she heads Finance, Accounts & Administration for L&T's Buildings & Factories vertical.
Throughout her career, she has handled various functions in Finance & Accounts, including Financial Accounts, Management Information Reporting (including annual budgeting, planning, and forecasting), Management support in operational excellence exercises, Cost Management & Accounting, Treasury, Direct Taxation, Regulatory Compliances, and Systems and Internal Control reviews.
