Mr. Chetan Sheth is a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from MS University Vadodara. He has more than 32 years of rich experience in various functional areas of Projects Management, Project Execution, Site Construction, Commissioning & Performance Test of Power Projects, Planning & Scheduling, Operations & Maintenance of Power Plant & Utilities. Before taking over as Chief Executive of L&T Howden Private Limited (LTH), he was heading the Operations of LTH since 2018, which broadly covers Project Management, Manufacturing and Field Engineering services.
Mr. Sheth commenced his tenure with Larsen & Toubro (in the Power business) in 2008 and worked in various Gas Based Power Plants till 2018 which included Project Management, Site Erection & Commissioning. He was instrumental in commissioning of various Combined Cycle Power Projects (CCPP) and Cogeneration facilities at IOCL-Panipat, GMR Vemagiri Phase-II CCPP and GSECL- Dhuvaran CCPP. Additionally, he was Site Head for a green-field international power project at Chittagong, Bangladesh. He worked as Head-HRSG group, where L&T was the licensee of CMI, Belgium.
He started his career in 1991 with Essar Power Limited, Hazira and subsequently got associated with Reliance Industries Limited, Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd. and GE Energy, handling responsible positions in Operation & Maintenance of Power and Utilities.
He holds extensive experience collaborating with various clients and consultants in India and abroad, and has navigated complex contractual conditions in large domestic and international projects.
Mr. Sheth has completed IPM Level-III Strategic Project Management from George Washington University, USA. He holds a certified Six Sigma Green Belt. He has also successfully completed the GLDP (Global Leadership Development Programme) from Michigan University, USA.
